The village is located near the city of Ierapetra, directly on Crete’s south-east coast. Although tourism has boomed here over the past decades, the village has been able to keep its character due to the great efforts of its citizens.
Mirtos does not have a real nightlife. The village centre exists of small tavernas and kafeneions where the locals eat, drink and laugh deep into the night with typical Greek music in the background. In this beautiful village you will find the warm and friendly Mirtos Apartments, located close to the long stretched pebble beach.
